Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation has started E-Ticket Booking service for passengers online. The tickets booked online has a unique Reference number / PNR number and a valid Trip code. We have mentioned the various classes of refund policies issued by GSRTC on behalf of state road transportation rules. The cancellation of tickets will depend upon the passenger’s date of journey and refund shall be granted depending upon the number of days remaining to undertake the same. A detailed policy and instructions regarding tickets cancelled on GSRTC Bus Bookings have been updated and issued.
For instance cancellation of ticket for journey dated 16-September on 25-August will fetch less cancellation charges / more refund amount than that being cancelled on 12-September. However the mode of refund remains the same source through which payment was made.
In this article, we will explaining the details about Ticket Cancellation Refund Policy details issued by GSRTC Online post COVID-19 situation, Refund charges according to timeline of tickets booked and Status of refund wherever application if applied for the same.
Generally tickets are booked online for journey within one or two days of time. However some passengers might book tickets beforehand one month to avoid last minute rush of booking tickets at the counter or even E-Ticketing online.
GSRTC Ticket Booking Cancellation Details – Refund Rules |
For 21 – 60 Days from Journey Date – Cancellation Charges = 5% of Basic Fare / Refund Amount = 95%
For 11 – 20 Days from Journey Date – Cancellation Charges = 10% of Basic fare / Refund Amount = 90%
For 6 – 10 Days from Journey Date – Cancellation Charges = 15% of Basic Fare / Refund Amount = 85%
For 2 – 5 Days from Journey Date – Cancellation Charges = 20% of Basic Fare / Refund Amount = 80%
For 0 – 1 Day from Journey Date – Cancellation Charges = 25% of Basic Fare / Refund Amount = 75%
For Cancellation of Tickets Till the Boarding and Departure Time of Bus = Refund Amount will be 75% of the amount paid.
No Refunds will be granted for any E-Tickets after the Departure Time of the Bus
Therefore plan your journey and cancellation accordingly so that you are able to get the maximum benefit in terms of refund amount when cancelling tickets.
According to the Government of Gujarat, post COVID-19 Travel restrictions and high inflow of tickets cancelled, all travelling public looking to book tickets for future dates are allowed to book tickets only 20 days prior to journey between two cities.

I had tried booking ticket from ahmedabad to vadodara on 11th December, 2016 twice. Both time the fare was debited from my bank account but the ticket was not generated. The email id used for booking was myself.arneet@gmail.com. I don't have the transaction no. that was flashed for the booking. Please process my refund. Should anything else be required from my end, I shall revert on the above email.

I had booked 7 nos tickets from Siddhpur to Surat Sleeper bus, But due to some technical issue in Sleeper bus. The Depo. manager changed bus from Sleeper to Gurjarnagri bus. ON discussed with Depo controller he refused to refund sleeper ticket amount and asked for new tickets for Gurjarnagri bus. I was tried to cancel tickets by online but it was not canceled due to booked tickets printed out. Try to mail on erefund@mail1.gsrtc.in for refund but this mail was bounced. till i did not aware or any guide line how to get the my refund fro gsrtc.
