GSRTC Online Bus Bookings for Marriage and Religious Travel Tours

The Government of Gujarat has announced a recent update in regards to renting of GSRTC Bus services for marriage and weddings across the state. People can book buses with cheap fare and rentals for better transport facility provided by AMTS and GSRTC. Many religious tours are organized from city to city which requires daily bus services and it’s available at low cost by the Government. Currently the marriage season is up and running with many private buses charging more fare as compared to GSRTC and Government owned buses.

The officials confirmed that buses would be made available for people in requirement for their private marriage ceremonies, tours and other purposes. They have also mentioned a flat fee rate for each sector of bus bookings done through online facility.

Different region wise fare has been published and these fares are completely based on the Travel KM for a district to district people ferrying purpose. The Government is making sure people can hire buses for all their religious purposes as well during their travel needs.

GSRTC Bus Booking Fare for Marriage / Wedding

One can book buses online through special request atleast 3 days before the actual date of service. There is no urgent booking system as per officials and the prices have been kept low compared to state private bus owners.

Here’s a list of ticket fare rate for each journey during marriage season.

GSRTC charges Rs.8000/- minimum for single bus booking or Rs.18 per KM whichever is higher.

However the rate changes when bookings are done for private held tours and parties.

State run GSRTC charges Rs.10,000/- minimum for single bus booking or Rs.20 per KM whichever is higher while moving on religious tours.

There will be no effect on daily bus services provided to Depot passengers and these will run regularly from time to time.

GSRTC Bus Booking Package for Marriage – Travel Kit

We don’t have an exact number of how much officials will charge and this depends from District to District. So, a travel plan in Anand or Nadiad would be much cheaper than a marriage travel plan in Ahmedabad CBS or Baroda Central.

So this depends on the amount of people travelling and bus providing facility based on travel kit planned by the marriage party.

Below is the rough estimated travel plans for few district wise travel:

1. Ahmedabad (any place from Old Ahmedabad) to Baroda (Vadodara) City (any place in Baroda before Railway station) :: Rs.5000/- per trip carrying approximately 45-50 people together

2. Surat Central (any place in Old Surat and beyond Tapi District) to Ahmedabad Central (within new Ahmedabad region) :: Rs.10,000/- per trip carrying full capacity

3. Gandhinagar Capital (any sector in Gandhinagar District) to Ahmedabad (new Ahmedabad beyond Sabarmati River) :: Rs.7000/- per trip with full capacity

GSRTC Religious Tours and Trips Travel Plan Kit

This section is very interesting because we have received many such requests in the past wherein a full capacity bus is needed for travel plan in a society or place with considerable amount of people. This is where Private Bus operators are a bit costly and need efficiency in reduced costs.

Gujarat State Road Transport is now offering religious place tours for group of people and the price is very minimal. The package is provided by the Government and you can now travel from one place to another by booking in advance of atleast 15 days.

1. Ahmedabad Central (from any specific location in old / new Ahmedabad) to Pavagadh District :: Rs.4000/- per trip planned with full capacity

2. GSRTC Volvo Bus Booking from Ahmedaad Central (any location in old and new Ahmedabad) to Statue of Unity in Narmada District :: Rs.5500/- per trip with 35-40 people capacity

3. Surat Central (any place within Surat City limit) to Saputara Hill Station :: Rs.4000/- per trip with full capacity of people
